Bringing Up Bates fans are sharing their thoughts on how Ellie and Addallee Bates are treated by the rest of the family. They think that two of Kelly Jo and Gil Bates’ kids aren’t getting the care and appreciation they deserve. So, what’s going on, and what exactly are fans saying?
Because Gil and Kelly have 19 children, it can be challenging for fans to keep track of everyone. Addallee is the 15th child to be born to Kelly and Gil. She’s 16 years old. Ellie is the 16th child and is 15 years old.
Addallee and Ellie are still young and don’t have their own social media accounts like some of their older siblings. So, fans don’t know them very well.
However, recent content that Bringing Up Bates fans have seen has them worried about the way the girls are treated.

On Reddit, Bates fans and critics are talking about the way that Ellie and Addallee are treated by the rest of the family. One instance, in particular, has fans asking questions.
This week, Carlin, Evan, Layla, and Zade Stewart have been in Florida with Whitney, Zach, Bradley, Kaci, Khloé, and Jadon. Ellie and Addallee tagged along, too.
On social media, Carlin and Whitney have shared several family pictures, but they left Addee and Ellie out of them. Fans wondered why the girls weren’t included.
In a second Reddit thread, a Bringing Up Bates fan pointed out that Ellie and Addee finally appeared in one photo. Carlin revealed it was taken with the help of the self-timer on her phone.
In response, fans are calling them “nannies.” Others think that Carlin and Whitney only brought Ellie and Addee along to care for the babies.
Someone writes, “It’s nice they are bringing the sisters on a beach trip but they aren’t ‘the help.’ They’re family and they belong in family photos.”
Adding to the conversation, one Reddit user comments, “Unfortunately they are the ‘help’ they only have bonds with them because they babysit the kids.”
Another fan says, “They bring Ellie and Addee with to do all the work and then only post what they want you to see.”
