‘Jeopardy!’ Permanent Host Date Finally Revealed?
Jeopardy! will announce its new permanent host soon. Fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Right now, it’s down to the two current hosts: Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings. Viewers noticed the differences between them — especially amid Jennings’ hiatus.
For some reason, Bialik gets more criticized than her male counterparts. Buzzy Cohen was also rumored to be the new host. Fans have a feeling that he’s been thrown into the mix after producers admitted that there’s still a need for multiple hosts. An expert says they know the “exact date” the host will be chosen.
Jeopardy! expert reveals “exact date” announcement will be made
Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik’s long-awaited battle will finally come to an end. The 46-year-old actress has been hosting the show ever since Jennings announced that he would be out for “months.” The permanent hosting position will be decided before the end of Season 38 in July 2022. A Jeopardy! expert claims they know the “exact date” the announcement will be made.
The Twitter account under the handle The Jeopardy! Fan shared their prediction as to when it will happen and how it could go down. On Monday, June 27, the fan took to the platform to share their predictions. Even though they’re an unofficial Jeopardy! account, they have over 11,000 followers.
“If I was a betting person, I would imagine that @Jeopardy will announce who’ll be hosting next season somewhere around July 15,” The Jeopardy! Fan wrote. “It’ll either get publicized as, ‘Don’t worry, Mayim will be back’ or ‘this is Mayim’s last syndicated episode.'”

Some fans were surprised by the prediction even though the fan account has been following them for years. One fan doesn’t believe it though. They wrote, “Nothing will be announced until after July 31, 2022.” Others shared their thoughts on who they think will end up with the position.
- “Ken, Ken, Ken! Mayim is just too peppy for me, and I hate the way she says an answer is wrong. NO!”
- “Let’s hope Ken is announced as the host. I wanted to like Mayim, but I can’t, I just can’t.”
- “I’m still holding out for [Buzzy Cohen]. #Hirebuzzy please!!!!”
- “They should let Mayim host Celebrity Jeopardy and let Ken host the daily version.”
Who are the final hosts?
It was previously reported that Mayim Bialik could host Celebrity Jeopardy! The show has teased that several spinoffs are coming. However, Buzzy Cohen could land one of the other positions. Ken Jennings could become the host of the main show.
It’s unclear who will host the special programs such as the Tournament of Champions and the National College Championship. Executive producer Mike Davies said they “hope to have a hosting announcement very, very soon.” They will “need multiple hosts to represent the entire audience.”

Ken Jennings is the best choice for the permanent host for Jeopardy. He has the “jeopardy demeanor”, plus he carries himself so well. He just looks and acts the part. He’s pleasant, has just the right amount of humor and he’s so intelligent. I cannot watch the show when Mayim B. hosts. Please don’t make the mistake of choosing her!
I agree with Linda as I realyl look forward to Ken hosting daily. He is Mr. Jeopardy in person. So mannerly and so perfect for the slot.
