Bam Margera is an icon of the 00s. His skateboarding career and the continuous pain he went through on Jackass made him a well-known name among all the rebellious youth of the era. He stood out from the rest of his Jackass compatriots by being the youngest and possibly craziest. Sadly, the intense stardom and lack of supervision that made him an all-star kid have also made his adulthood a precarious one.
He was taken off the cast of the newest Jackass film, Jackass Forever, for violating a sobriety agreement. He’s been in and out of rehab for years and most recently went missing from a rehab center in Florida. Thankfully, he was found recently and has gone back to the same rehab center. But how long will this last?
Bam Margera Lost
Bam Margera has been in and out of rehab centers for years now. He’s currently in a clinic in Florida that he has disappeared from multiple times just this year. Most recently, his disappearance came after he split with his wife, Nicole Boyd. He was found just recently, though, and has made a return back to rehab.
There were lawsuits that came after Margera had to leave the filming of Jackass Forever back in 2019. He had to leave due to a positive test for Adderall. A drug that Margera claims to have had a prescription for. More recently, things were quiet for Margera, at least on the public front. Which is a good thing when it comes to addicts in rehabilitation. Sadly, this most recent relapse means Bam’s progress is still slow, if existent at all.
Clearly, all of his fellow Jackass stars just want what’s best for him. His co-star Steve-O infamously had a massive battle with hard drugs throughout the 00s. One that did result in his complete sobriety before the filming of Jackass 3 back in 2010. Hopefully, Bam will wind up making a similar recovery at some point.
The Future Of Jackass
The most recent Jackass film came across to many as the last in the series. It does feel a little bit like a goodbye reunion. However, it seems as if that is not actually the case. On Steve-O’s podcast, Wild Ride, he speaks with co-star Johnny Knoxville about the future. Knoxville mentions that with every previous Jackass movie he spoke about it as if it was the last. That’s with the exception of this most recent film. This makes it seem like a Jackass 5 is all but a guarantee for the future.
Many seem to have a lot of excitement for the newer cast members. They’re young and much more able to take big hits that the older cast can’t do anymore. And, with some determination, maybe we can even get Bam Margera back in the next movie, too.
