‘Unexpected’: Was It Renewed For Season 6?
Season 5 of Unexpected just concluded last week. Part two of the tell-all ended slightly abruptly so no one knows what is next for the series. With the success of the show, has it been renewed for Season 6?
Highlights Of Season 5 For Unexpected
Season 5 brought two new couples, Kylen Smith and Jason Korpi as well as Emersyn Potter and Mason Ramirez. Kylen and Jason stole the show with Jason’s combative behavior. He was extremely manipulative toward his baby mama, controlling her every move and her entire birthing plan. Viewers were very quick to want him removed from the series due to his abusive nature. As for Emersyn, she was living with her mother, who had just had a baby when her daughter discovered she was pregnant. Her mom, Erica had strict rules that Emersyn’s boyfriend, Mason could not sleep in her bed. Once that rule was broken, Mason and Emersyn immediately moved out and stayed with Mason’s family.
Returning couples were Jenna Ronan and Aden Albright whose drama reached a peak. By the end of the season, Jenna’s parents were starting to get along. That was when Jenna realized she deserved better and ended it with Aden. Sisters Tyra and Tiarra Boisseau came back with their cousin Taylor. This time, Tiarra and Taylor were pregnant with their second children while Tyra was struggling with her baby daddy, Alex’s infidelity. Finally, Lilly and Lawrence had moved out into their own apartment but that was causing a great divide. Could they make it to happily ever after and down the aisle?
Another Season Ahead?
Unexpected had a lot of chatter and excitement in Season 5. Therefore, it would be no shock if the series was renewed for another year. Especially since some current cast members have posted an announcement for a casting call related to what appeared to be this show. It shows no signs of stopping especially since viewers are highly invested in the current cast and their personal lives. Kylen Smith and Jason Korpi claimed they quit the series but that has yet to be seen.
As to who would return from this season, that is also up in the air if the show is renewed. If the show does come back, it would not be for roughly a year.
