Poland teen leaves Simon Cowell “speechless”

On the Tuesday, June 14 episode of America’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell was impressed with the young girl who graced the stage. Sara James from Poland performed a cover of Billie Eilish’s “Lovely.” Her rendition won over the 62-year-old judge so much that he was “speechless.”

However, that didn’t stop Simon Cowell from pressing the Golden Buzzer. He wanted her to immediately go through the competition. The Golden Buzzer sends contestants straight to the live shows.

“We’ve heard a lot of singers over the years, but wow,” Simon Cowell said. “You have a real star glow about you.”

Before her audition, Sara James said it was her first time in the states. She always had dreams about becoming a singer. Simon wanted to make her dreams come true. The judge was so moved that he pressed the Golden Buzzer.

“This is probably where you dreamt of performing. I can remember when I came to America for the first time … that was a moment I’ll never forget,” Simon Cowell said. “And I want to make this a moment for you to remember forever.”

Sara was deeply moved by this moment. She was shocked when he pressed the Golden Buzzer. When one of the judges hits the button, a stream of gold confetti shoots from the ceiling. Sara had no idea that this moment was going to happen.

Sara James is hoping that her dreams will come true. She truly believes that she’s in the right place. The aspiring songstress had a lot of kind words to say about Simon Cowell, who’s known for being a tough judge. She admitted that he’s made her journey to the U.S. easier.

“In America, dreams come true. It’s so amazing,” Sara told People. “[Simon] made this whole trip to America so lovely — and America’s actually really beautiful, to be honest. I’m in love and I want to live there — but it was such an amazing moment and when I think of it, I just want to cry.”

Simon Cowell explained to People why he hit the Golden Buzzer. The famous Brit could tell that Sara had star quality. He was also inspired by her story to fly across the pond to make her singing career happen. Fans will have to see if Sara makes it all the way to the end.
