What Has Mayim Bialik Apologizing To ‘Jeopardy!’ Fans?
Mayim Bialik apologized to Jeopardy! fans on Instagram Live. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, opinions over her hosting style has been mixed. Some fans are looking forward to Ken Jennings’ return to the podium. It’s safe to say that Bialik has received more backlash than her male counterparts.
Viewers can’t help but notice the mistakes she’s made during the episodes. They especially didn’t like it when she called the first round “Single Jeopardy.” Bialik has addressed the backlash and said she will never make that mistake again. Read on to see why the actress is apologizing to the hardcore fanbase once again.
Mayim Bialik issues mass apology
The Big Bang Theory star issued a mass apology to Jeopardy! fans. It took place during a live stream. When she’s not on the set of a sitcom, she hosts the beloved quiz show. The former child star also promotes mental health on her podcast, Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown. However, juggling multiple positions can cause confusion among her online platforms.
In late May, the Jeopardy! cohost jumped onto an Instagram Live and didn’t remember if she was using her personal account or the podcast’s official Instagram account. The Call Me Kat star shared a 30-second clip of herself looking befuddled. The actress then apologized to Jeopardy! fans who probably wanted insider secrets, news, and updates about the beloved game show. Those who stumbled upon her live stream were probably disappointed that she wasn’t going to talk about her hosting duties.
“Hi everybody, was I supposed to do this from this account?” Mayim Bialik asked during her Instagram Live. “I don’t know. Hmm, I don’t remember. Hi everyone, I’m live, but I think I’m going to go over to the Bialik’s Breakup Instagram, so if you’re not following us… You should go there now ’cause I think I was supposed to do this from that account. Sorry!”
The reaction to her apology was humorous. One fan wrote, “Ooopsie! 😂😂😂,” while another added, “Think someone has too many irons in the fire??” A third fan shaded Bialik’s other gig and added, “Thank you! Didn’t notice I didn’t follow you on Bialik’s Breakdown… 😂😂😂”
Does the Jeopardy! host has too many gigs?
The mixup has fans wondering if Mayim Bialik has too many gigs. Yet, it’s nice to see a brainiac and neuroscientist like her get confused sometimes. This moment made Bialik seem relatable to her fans. There are times when even she can’t remember which social media account to use.
“Ok, now I did it!” Mayim Bialik said on the right Instagram Live. “Hi again, thank you everyone for following me. Sorry, I got a little bit confused.”
The reason why she had an Instagram Live was in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month in May. Bialik hosted a giveaway on her podcast that included educational books from her guests. During her Instagram Live, the Blossom alum revealed that she would personalize the books for 22 of her winners.

I only read that she apologized- I didn’t know why, I was hoping it was because she was turning down future requests to host Jeopardy……… I don’t know why they chose her (although admittedly some like her hosting) when there are so many others they could have tried. I love Ken Jennings! People who don’t like him or say he is not good, simply either haven’t watched enough or have no sense of humor. Ken is often “tongue in cheek” with his comments which I enjoy! He is also very knowledgeable, of course, and I feel his history on the show should be considered when they decide who to hire full-time. As much as I like the show, it is not always pleasant for me to watch Mayim- I just don’t care for her as host… she may be a very nice person, just not my choice.
