‘Jeopardy!’ Bialik Emotional As Ryan Long Reveals Plans For Winnings

Jeopardy! host Mayim Bialik was emotional as champ Ryan Long revealed his plans for his winnings. She said she got the “chills” when he revealed how he will spend the prize money. The rideshare driver from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania won his 15th game with a total of $279,000.

Bialik has been hosting the game show for the fourth week in a row. She returned after Ken Jennings announced his extended hiatus during this time. He informed viewers that he will be out for “months.” The permanent hosting position will be decided at the end of Season 38 in July 2022. Fans are looking forward to Jennings’ return.

Ryan Long shares his plans for his big win

In the latest episode of Jeopardy!, Ryan Long revealed his plans for his win. On the Thursday, June 2 episode, he secured his 15th win. He’s currently the ninth contestant with the longest streak on the show ever. However, it was Ryan’s gameplay that was the basis of his Q&A story with Mayim Bialik. His story made both the host and Jeopardy! viewers emotional.

During the segment where each contestant shares something about themselves, Ryan was asked what he plans to do with his winnings. His response sent “chills” down the Blossom star’s spine. She got emotional when Ryan shared his plans.

“Do you have anything planned with all the changes that are going on?” Bialik said while wearing a dark blazer and her signature eyeglasses.

“The only thing I have planned is taking my son on a trip. He wants to come out here, he’s curious about what I’ve been doing,” Ryan responded. “He wants to come to California, he wants to go to the theme parks – the best thing is, I have time to do these things with him now.”

Ryan admitted that it was hard for him to take his son on vacation in the past. But that won’t be the case now with his winnings. He admitted that he no longer has to say, “I can’t do it” to his son. He wants to take him wherever he wants to go.

Ryan’s response choked up Bialik, who has two sons herself. Her face turned flush and she got emotional. “That is wonderful, gave me chills,” Bialik said before collecting herself. “Alright… back to the game.”

Both Bialik and Jeopardy! viewers got choked up. Fans enjoy listening to Ryan’s stories and learning more about him. The millions of viewers at home took to Twitter to share their thoughts. They too feel the same way

Most Jeopardy! fans have been rooting for Ryan to sweep the show. Others are refusing to watch the humble champ because of Bialik. In case you haven’t watched, Ryan is now eight games shy of Canadian tutor Mattea Roach’s 23-game streak that ended when she lost by $1 in May.
