If you follow the Duggar family, or if you’ve heard of them, you likely know that they hold very conservative Christian beliefs. They believe that girls and women should dress modestly, they frown upon PDA before marriage, and they court rather than date.
Jim Bob Duggar and his family do not approve of the LGBTQ+ community. They have spoken out about this in the past. His son-in-law, Derick Dillard, previously made transphobic comments online about I Am Jazz star Jazz Jennings.
In the past, Jim Bob’s wife, Michelle Duggar also recorded an anti-transgender robocall. The mother of 19 said in the recording: “I don’t believe the citizens of Fayetteville would want males with past child predator convictions that claim they are female to have a legal right to enter private areas that are reserved for women and girls.”
Jim Bob Duggar’s views about the LGBTQ+ community resurface.
On Reddit, this past week, some of Jim Bob’s views have come back up. One user kicked off the conversation, writing, “For years the Duggars pushed this narrative that people in LGBTQ+ community are huge threat to children but their son turned out to be the real danger.”
Many fans and critics are applauding the original poster for reminding them of this. They agree that Jim Bob and Michelle have been very hypocritical when it’s come to this topic.
If you missed it, you should know that Josh Duggar, Jim Bob and Michelle’s eldest son, has been sentenced to more than 12 years behind bars for child pornography charges. He was found unanimously guilty in December after some of the “worst of the worst” content was traced back to his computer.
So, while Jim Bob Duggar was concerned about the LGBTQ+ community harming children, his son was actually doing something that has hurt many kids.
