Jessa Seewald Makes Rare Appearance After Josh Duggar’s Sentencing
Former Counting On star Jessa Seewald has made a rare appearance just a couple of days after her brother, Josh Duggar was sentenced. Keep reading to see what she shared.
If you missed the news this week, on Wednesday, May 25, Josh was sentenced to 151 months (around 12.5 months) behind bars. This came after he was found guilty of child pornography charges back in December. He will soon be transferred to a federal prison facility.
Though several members of the Duggar family attended his sentencing, Jessa Seewald was not there. But, she’s now back with a little life update for fans.
Jessa Seewald hops online for the first time since Josh Duggar’s sentencing.
Recently, Jessa hasn’t been very active on social media. Before her post on Saturday, May 28, she last posted online on May 1. So, fans were happy to see her resurface online.
In a new post on Saturday, May 28, Jessa Seewald shared a couple of photos of her daughter, Ivy, as she celebrated her second birthday. The mom to four wrote:
“Ivy turned 3 this week, and we’ve had a wonderful time celebrating her and making her birthday wishes come true! 🤍🤍 She brings joy and laughter to our home every single day. I can barely remember what life was like before she was here with us! So thankful to God for this precious gift of Ivy Jane!”
So, despite the hard time that the family is going through with Josh right now, it looks like Jessa’s family had a little bit of joy this week.
Has she said anything about her brother’s sentencing?
So far, Jessa Seewald has only posted about Ivy’s third birthday party. She and her husband, Ben, haven’t said anything about Josh’s sentencing.
It’s unclear if they will eventually make a statement. So, we will have to wait and see whether they decide to speak out at some point. They previously issued a statement when Josh was found guilty.
Several of Jessa’s relatives, including cousin Amy King, Jill and Derick Dillard, and Jason Duggar have all posted their statements online.
In the meantime, Jessa appears to be prioritizing her kids and enjoying this time as they celebrate Ivy’s special day.
So, do you think Jessa Seewald will be sharing a statement in response to her brother’s sentencing? Or do you think she may just continue posting her regular content online? Share your thoughts in the comments section below. And come back to TV Shows Ace for more Duggar family news.

Josh is guilty of the crimes he committed. If his parents & wife think he is innocent…they are blind or just lying to themselves and the public.
It’s 12.5 years not months. And probably not enough. The sentence should be at least the number of years until his youngest child is 18.
