‘LPBW’ Ultimate Reason Matt Roloff Put Farm On Market?
LPBW (Little People, Big World) star Matt Roloff put a portion of his family’s farm on the market recently. Fans have been wondering what made him decide it was time to list the property. There’s plenty of speculation about what led to this decision. So, why might Matt ultimately choose to sell it at this time?
If you missed the news, Matt put a small portion of Roloff Farms up for sale. He made this announcement on social media days before LPBW Season 23 premiered. This caused a bit of drama between himself and his son, Zach Roloff, who called him out for shifting the narrative over the farm.
Now, fans are discussing the possible reasons the farm is for sale at this time.
LPBW: Why did Matt Roloff ultimately decide to put the farm on the market?
On Reddit, Little People, Big World fans are speculating about Matt’s recent move. There are many possible reasons behind his decision to list the property.
When the pandemic hit, it likely had a negative financial impact on Roloff Farms for a year or two.
Other fans think that the kids were unwilling to take on the responsibility of the farm because they had other ways to make money. One fan writes, “I think Matt gave them plenty of opportunities to work on the farm, but they were too spoiled by easy money (oil pyramid schemes, TLC checks) to want to do any hard work.”
Because of this, the LPBW dad may not have trusted any of his kids to take over the farm. It may have gotten to the point where he couldn’t wait any longer to see if they were able to do it.
Another fan adds, “I think that in reality Matt figured the kids would all have money and jobs and be successful. Then they could band together and buy it at a nice price from Matt and it would all work.”
It looks like Jacob Roloff is currently working on the farm, but it may not be enough that Matt wanted to sell it to him. Or maybe Jacob just wasn’t interested in buying it.
Matt also recently admitted on social media that he owes his ex-wife, Amy money. He didn’t pay the full amount when he purchased her part of the farm. In an Instagram comment, he mentioned that he owes her “a bundle of money.”
It looks like there are many factors that would explain why it was time for Matt to list the farm on the market.

Matt should have gotten ALL the family together without Caryn but yes on Amy cause she has a part in this. Put all the feelings out and the family make the decision all together. I’m sure they do not know all the markers in the sell and they need to so no hard feelings.
