Matt Roloff spilled some unexpected beans in a very long Instagram post over the weekend. His post was geared toward sharing some more details on his decision to sell part of Roloff Farms. Fans assume he opened up a bit more because of the backlash he was receiving for not selling it to one of his children.
According to Matt Roloff, both Jeremy and Zach had the opportunity to come together and make a joint purchase of the property. Matt hoped the twins would manage the property together. The LPBW star even tells fans he offered a generous family discount.
Zach Roloff calls his father a liar
Now, in the comments of this really long post, Zach Roloff accused his father of being a liar and a manipulator. Zach notes that his father was shifting the narrative ahead of the premiere for the new season of LPBW to make sure he didn’t look like a bad guy to fans. Matt Roloff’s son admits it was a little shocking to see how his father was quick to throw him and Jeremy under the bus.
Matt Roloff owes Amy money?
Buried in his very detailed explanation of what was going on with the farm, Matt revealed that his ex-wife Amy was originally involved in trying to sell the property to the twins.
My twin boys decided not to consider working together toward a possible joint sale. Both of them (along with their growing families) had moved on to other interests and investments…. and even tho a substantial family discount and a ‘gift of equity’ was offered by both Amy and I….(and I still owe Amy a bundle of money) ..they decided individually that the timing was not right for them to purchase a part of the farm at this time.”
Now, many fans who read this were quick to gloss over the details. In the section where Matt mentioned Amy, he also added an extra tidbit of information. Turns out that Matt Roloff has yet to pay Amy in full for the portion of the property he bought from her. More specifically, Matt claimed that he owed Amy “a bundle of money.”
Is this the real reason Matt Roloff decided to sell?
Some LPBW fans can’t help but wonder if Matt Roloff decided to sell a slice of his property because he needs money. It is no secret the pandemic made things difficult for business. Could a need for cash have forced him to put this property up for sale?
