Mama June Admits Living In Fear For Her Life After Dumping Geno Doak
There’s a new season of Mama June: Road To Redemption out. And now, fans have a chance to get a look at the obstacles Mama June Shannon overcame in the past year. Needless to say, it’s been quite a chaotic journey for the reality TV matriarch.

Mama June ran for her life after breaking up with Geno Doak
Many of Mama June’s family members weren’t crazy about her romance with Geno Doak. And as it turns out, her fans really didn’t care much for him either. Mama June and Geno did end up breaking up — but apparently, things got messy.
In the newest episode of Mama June: Road To Redemption, the family matriarch revealed she actually went into hiding after the breakup. Ultimately, Geno wasn’t able to stick to his sobriety and the relationship became very toxic. At one point, June Shannon admitted that she was even afraid to talk to her daughter Lauryn on the phone because she was afraid Geno wouldn’t like it.
During the season premiere, the production crew revealed that June completely disappeared and wouldn’t communicate with them. She was desperate to hide from Geno and that even meant stopping production on the show.
“Geno has no idea where I’m at and I would prefer for y’all not to tell him that,” Mama June confessed during the episode. The abuse was simply too much for her and she bravely chose to leave. “He went to sleep, passed out because he was drunk and I packed a bag, I left, I got an Uber.”
Some fans probably would have liked to see June Shannon focus on her family without a man — especially after this terrifying encounter. But unfortunately, the reality TV star didn’t stay single for very long.
The family matriarch moves on with someone new
Now, fans know that Mama June is with Justin Stroud. He also has a criminal history and even recently spent time in jail on drug-related offenses. After all the drama with Geno, fans are worried about how this might turn out too.
Recently, June Shannon and Justin visited a jewelry store together, sparking rumors about their engagement. Fans will probably know more as new episodes come out.
