In case you missed the news, Jim Bob and Michelle’s eldest child, Josh, is facing child pornography charges. He was found guilty in December. Now, his sentencing will be on May 25. Fans and critics are anticipating what might be ahead for his whole family.

On Reddit, the family’s fans and critics are discussing the possibility that the family will try to distract from Josh’s upcoming sentencing. The original poster thinks that a courtship announcement and pregnancy announcements might be released to deflect from the news of Josh’s sentencing.
Someone speculates, “I suspect official baby announcements from those we know were/are pregnant like Siren [Josiah and Lauren] and Joken [Joseph and Kendra.]”
There are also several kids of courting age that haven’t yet announced courtships. So, any of them could go public with their relationships around that time, too.
Might the Duggar family lay low instead?
While some fans and critics agree that the family might try to distract from Josh’s legal troubles, others think it might be in their best interest to lay low and keep quiet.
