Jill Dillard Officially Breaking Free From Parents’ Control?

If you’re a Duggar fan, you may know that Jim Bob and Michelle have been heavily scrutinized for how they raise their children. In the past, they have been called out for being too strict and controlling. Some of their adult children still abide by their strict rules.
Though fans don’t know all of the details about the family’s relationships with one another, many believe that Jim Bob and Michelle control their adult kids in one way or another.
Someone who doesn’t seem to be affected so much is Jill Dillard. She seems to be paving her own trail and doing what’s right for her. She wears pants and shorts, has her nose pierced, and uses birth control.
However, a big change is in the works for Jill and her husband, Derick. And it looks like they may be distancing themselves even further from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
Is Jill Dillard finally getting some space?
As we reported, Jill and Derick will soon be moving to a new home. He recently passed the bar exam and landed a job. So, their house was listed for sale, and they began searching for a new house.
On Wednesday, May 11, it was revealed that the Dillards could be relocating to Oklahoma. Though this is still close to the Duggar family in Arkansas, it is a big shift for the Dillards.
Derick’s name comes up in a search for attorneys. And rather than including an Arkansas address, the search pulls up the address for the Adair County District Courthouse in Stilwell, OK.
On Reddit, Duggar snarkers are convinced that this means he has landed a job in Oklahoma.
Moving to another state would be putting some physical distance between Jill Dillard and her parents. And this could give her more freedom to be who she wants to be.
At this point, the Dillards have not confirmed that they will be moving to Oklahoma. But it seems possible that this could happen, providing the family with many opportunities.
