Hallmark is working on a brand new movie. It is based on the Katie Lee novel, Groundswell.
On Thursday, the Food Network star went to Instagram to share her latest news. “Thank you @alexa_nypost @nypost for the cover story! Katie Lee, who was previously married to Billy Joel, wrote this novel right after their divorce.
What More Do We Know about Hallmark’s Groundswell?
According to the New York Post interview that Katie Lee is referring to, Hallmark plans to premiere this movie later this year.
In addition, Katie Lee will be an executive producer, as well as make an on-screen cameo. However, they have not yet cast this movie or shared who will direct or has written the screenplay.
This is not the first Hallmark-Food Channel star collaboration. Just recently, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries aired Almost Amore, starring Autumn Reeser, and Tyler Hynes.
This movie was executive produced by Giada DeLaurentiis. However, Giada did not make an on-screen cameo. Instead, the food in the movie looked like something she would have made. Therefore, her signature food style was all over this movie.
