Derick Dillard Throws Shade At Jim Bob Duggar’s Parenting?
Is Derick Dillard throwing shade at his father-in-law Jim Bob Duggar‘s parenting in a recent social media comment? It looks like he might be speaking out and pointing out the flaws in how the Duggars raise their kids.
Derick is the husband of Jill Duggar, so he’s familiar with the way Jim Bob and Michelle raise their children. In the past, he has not shied away from talking about his famous family and their downfalls. Today, it doesn’t look like Derick is on the best terms with his in-laws due to many different conflicts. Of course, not all of this is public.
But Derick might be publicly showing how much he truly disagrees with his father-in-law. This time, he appears to be going after his parenting choices.
Derick Dillard has a lot to say about Jim Bob Duggar’s parenting?
On Instagram this week, Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball shared a few photos from a Duggar friend’s vow renewal. It looks like the vow renewal even featured a reception with dancing.
Surprisingly, several of the Duggars were seen dancing. If you have followed the Duggar family, you probably know that dancing is one thing they frown upon.
So, it might come as a surprise that Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth, John-David and Abbie Duggar, and Jedidiah Duggar’s wife, Katey Nakatsu, can be seen dancing.
You can see the wedding photos of the Duggar kids dancing here.
In her post, Katie explains, “John, Joy, Abbie, and Katey were all seen dancing at the event. Joy even danced with her son Gideon. Jed appeared to stand off in the distance and watch.”
Then, she adds, “The Duggars have come a long way from the days of no dancing.”
In the comments section of the post, Derick Dillard shares his thoughts. He wrote, “In my opinion it’s unhealthy if adult children are pressured to have the same convictions as their parents.”
So, it looks like Derick Dillard may be speaking out against Jim Bob and the way he raises his kids. At this point, many of his kids have grown up, gotten married, and started their own families. But some of them have continued to follow the same convictions they followed as children.
So, what do you think of this comment from Derick Dillard about kids having their own convictions? Do you think he’s shading his father-in-law Jim Bob Duggar’s parenting? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below. And come back to TV Shows Ace for more Duggar family news.
