Kailyn Lowry revealed how many thousands the lawsuit cost her. This comes amid her ongoing legal battle with Briana DeJesus. In June 2021, Kaily sued her Teen Mom co-star after Briana opened up about Kailyn’s September 2020 arrest on social media. Even though Kailyn makes a good chunk of money, she admits that she “wasted” money because of their legal drama.

Kailyn Lowry made an appearance on Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files. She talked about her ongoing feud with the Teen Mom co-star and the court case. As fans know, Briana and Kailyn’s feud goes all the way back to 2017, which kicked off when Briana dated Kailyn’s ex-husband, Javi Marroquin. Briana made things worse when she flirted with Chris Lopez, who is also the father of Kailyn’s two children.

The MTV star revealed how much she spent on the court case. Kailyn Lowry revealed that she spent $200,000. She also shared an update on that legal war.

“I actually just got out of a defamation lawsuit,” Kailyn Lowry told Viall on the podcast, per The Sun. “Yeah, I lost. Well, it was dismissed. I didn’t lose.”

Teen Mom 2 star doesn’t have any regrets

The reality star admits that the huge amount was a “waste” of money. However, Kailyn Lowry doesn’t have any regrets about spending the money on the case. She chalks it up to a learning experience. Kailyn is happy that it went to court because it allowed her to defend herself.

“So, ultimately, like if nothing else that’s what I got out of it,” Kailyn Lowry continued. “It was dismissed because – I personally think it was because I had to sue her in the state of Florida, um, and they just look at things very differently. But, I think, the judge didn’t feel like I proved malice… like she purposely spread rumors and lies, you know?”

Once the judge dismissed the case, Briana threatened to sue Kailyn to cover her legal fees, which cost over $120,000. In an interview with Celebuzz, Briana admitted that she was going to countersue. So that means Kailyn Lowry may have to dish out more money since Briana won’t put an end to the drama.

Some Teen Mom fans took to Reddit to share their reaction to Kailyn Lowry’s interview. They were in shock over how much she had to shell out for the legal case. Some even shared what they would do if they had the money.

Kailyn Lowry isn’t happy with the way things turned out. She admitted that while she “respects the judge’s decision,” she “stands by my truth.” The reason why she went through with it is that she didn’t want untrue rumors about her to be spread. The mom-of-four has no plans to appeal her decision.
