Fans Call Evan Stewart ‘Tone Deaf’ While Wife Carlin Bates Suffers?
Bringing Up Bates fans are slamming Evan Stewart for a “tone deaf” move he made while his wife, Carlin Bates, was struggling. Fans are unhappy that he wasn’t helping her out when she might have needed him. So, what prompted this outrage from fans? Scroll down to find out.
If you’re a Bates fan, you may know that Evan and Carlin welcomed their second baby to the world in March. They named their little guy Zade Patrick. He joins big sister Layla Rae.
After the family got settled in at home, Carlin and Evan Stewart shared part of their labor and birth story with fans via Instagram and YouTube. One clip Evan shared has left fans pretty unhappy, though.
Evan Stewart is called out for his ‘tone-deaf’ decision.
In an Instagram Reel, Evan showed fans part of Carlin’s labor. At this point, she was 8 centimeters dilated. Evan writes that she was “feeling all the contractions.”
You can watch the video here. Along with sharing the clip, Evan wrote, “My wife is literally a superwoman! She fought through all the pain like a champ! She’s my hero! Thank you for our sweet son!”
However, Bringing Up Bates fans are not so happy that Evan Stewart recorded this video while Carlin Bates suffered. In a new confession on the Duggar Bates Confessions page, one fan wrote that they commented on Evan’s post, pointing out that this was a “tone deaf” video. Later, Evan deleted the fan’s comment.
Other fans also dislike that Evan was taking a video instead of helping Carlin. One fan says, “Yeah I was surprised he was video taping instead of being 100% there for her. I agree.”
Someone else adds, “Even with my permission, my husband wouldn’t post me at my worst moment for all the world to see. My privacy is far more import than some likes on Instagram… but I guess now we know what his priorities are.”
However, some fans think that Carlin might have wanted her space at this point, so that could explain why Evan was filming instead of standing by her side.
