Josie Bates Shares Mama’s Words That Hit Hard
Former UPtv’s Bringing Up Bates star Josie Bates is getting sentimental about some wise words her mother, Kelly Jo, shared with her. Josie is a young mother to two little girls, Willow, 2, and Hazel, 10 months.
Kelly raised Josie and her 18 siblings. So, she’s had lots of experience with children and knows the many ups and downs of motherhood. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that fans asked Kelly to share her experiences as a mother.
She’s certainly gained plenty of wisdom as she’s cared for her many kids. And now, she has 20 grandchildren to love on and provide for as well.
While the Q&A session might have been for fans, it also looks like Josie Bates took her mama’s words to heart.

On Wednesday, Josie hosted a Q&A session on her Instagram stories, allowing fans to ask Kelly Jo Bates some questions. In one response, Kelly shared about motherhood and enjoying every moment.
It looks like some of these words, in particular, hit hard. In a new Instagram post on Wednesday, April 20, Josie Bates shared a handful of photos of herself with her two daughters.
The mom got pretty sentimental after hearing her own mom’s words on motherhood. You can see all of the photos here.
Josie wrote, “My sweet mama said something in stories today that hit me hard. We only have a short window of time with our babies, and our perspective is everything. Yes, the days can be long, and they’re not easy. I often get stressed about the little things that don’t matter and caught up in the daily to-do list, but I want to get better at enjoying all the moments.”
She went on to share the things she hopes to do to cherish these moments with her little girls. The Bringing Up Bates star said, “I want to stop and smell the flowers, hug them a little tighter and snuggle them a little longer. I want to take in every second I can, because the days truly are flying, and being these girls’ mama is the greatest blessing 🥲💕”
Kelly sweetly commented, “You’re such a good mom, and I learn so much from you!! I’m grateful beyond words for you!!😍😍”
