On the latest episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Ashley Marti broke her promise to Gabriela Barragan. For much of the season, Ashley wanted to be promoted to second stew. Gabriela had a feeling that Ashley was after her job. She felt that no one believed her and was listening to her concerns.

The ladies started feuding over everything from their positions to the affections of first officer Gary King. When Gary spent more time with Gabriela, Ashley grew jealous. She decided to get her revenge by stitching on Gabriela. In an honest moment, Gabriela confided in Ashley about her desire to quit and her lack of trust in their crew members.

Gabriela felt better about their talk. However, Ashley used this tender moment to vent to chief stew Daisy Kelliher. Ashley promised Gabriela that she wouldn’t tell anyone else. But it didn’t take long for the third stew to break her promise.

On the Monday, April 18 episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Ashley told Daisy about Gabriela’s problems with the crew and the decision to quit. Daisy was shocked to learn that all of this drama was happening behind her back. She decided to have a sit-down conversation with Gabriela instead of trusting Ashley’s words.

She knew the two didn’t get along. However, Daisy didn’t realize how bad it was. She didn’t want to choose sides. Instead, Daisy let Gabriela air her grievances to her.

Neither Ashley nor Gabriela got in trouble for this moment. Yet, some Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans think Ashley is to blame for this situation. She’s been criticized for her behavior throughout the season. Some think she should’ve been the one who quit or got fired.

Ashley has since responded to the backlash. She called out the “keyboard warriors” and “trolls” in a statement posted on Twitter. The message only incited more of a reaction from the viewers. Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans also think Ashley was a snitch for breaking her promise to Gabriela.

During Monday’s latest episode, most of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans took to Twitter to call out Ashley. They called out Ashley for being a terrible friend and breaking Gabriela’s trust. She already know Gabriela’s issues with the crew. She only made things worse by going behind her back and ratting her out to Daisy.
