‘Below Deck’ Daisy Kelliher Didn’t Know Gabriela Wanted To Quit

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Daisy Kelliher admitted she wasn’t aware that Gabriela Barragan wanted to quit. Gabriela had fans wondering if she was leaving the show. In the previous episode of the Bravo series, she told third stew, Ashley Marti, she felt that no one liked her anymore. Gabriela was having a panic attack and wanted to leave the boat.

She also had a bad hangover from the night before. Gabriela drank too much during the crew outing where she got into a row with Chef Marcos Spaziani. Gabriela has also feuded with Ashley for much of the season. However, Daisy had no idea that Gabriela felt this way about her job.

Daisy Kelliher speaks out about Gabriela’s threats to quit

Normally nothing gets passed the chief stew. Daisy Kelliher from Below Deck Sailing Yacht spoke to Hollywood Life on Instagram Live to discuss the drama on Season 3. She wasn’t aware that Gabriela wanted to quit her job. She had no idea how bad it was on the interior team because they wouldn’t tell her.

“I was quite surprised,” Daisy told Hollywood Life. “Everyone is like, ‘Daisy is taking such a hands-off approach,’ and I actually asked several times. I said I would talk to them after the charter, and I asked Ashley and Gabriela, ‘So how did the charter go?’ And they were like, ‘It was great.'”

That wasn’t the only time that Daisy tried to figure out what was going on. She asked them if they had any problems with their job. Both Ashley and Gabriela admitted that it was going smoothly. Daisy found out about their issues through Marcos, first mate Gary King, and chief engineer Colin MacRae.

“I was looking bad at my job. Every time I asked, they said ‘nothing,'” the Below Deck star said. “So, I stormed into Ashley’s cabin and said, ‘Don’t tell me everything is great. You need to be direct and tell me what’s going on.'”

Below Deck star shares her reaction to the drama

On Monday’s episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Ashley revealed to Daisy her issues with Gabriela and that she wanted to quit. Daisy admitted to Hollywood Life that she “was sick of it at this stage.” However, she was “surprised” to learn that Gabriela wanted to quit. She had no idea how bad it got between them.

“Was I surprised? Yeah. Because I was very approachable,” the Below Deck Sailing Yacht fan-favorite explained. “I asked them several times. And I was like, ‘I don’t know why you felt like you couldn’t come to me. Like I’m right here.'”

Regardless of the drama, Daisy was impressed with her crew. She commended them for their professionalism in front of the guests. Daisy was happy that her crew didn’t let their issues with one another show in their work. She feels her team was “really strong” and says “our charters were actually better than last year.”
