If you’re a 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On fan, you probably know all about the family’s religious beliefs. Amy is the niece of Jim Bob Duggar, but she doesn’t adhere to all of the same beliefs that her famous relatives do. She is very open about her faith and often talks about her beliefs on social media.
Her clothing boutique, 3130 Clothing, is named after Proverbs 31 in the bible.
Duggar cousin Amy King shares her story with fans.
In a new Instagram post on Friday, April 15, Amy shared a heartfelt message, revealing her past to fans. It all began when she was about 20 years old.
The Duggar cousin wrote that she did not like who she was. She felt that she was being negatively influenced by the people around her. She said that she was a Christian but wasn’t acting like it, which made her feel guilty.
In her post, she explains, “I won’t go into a lot of details but it had been a hard week for me. I was driving just to clear my head my heart was broken I remember sobbing so much I couldn’t see to drive so I pulled into a Walgreens parking lot.”
She says that she was bawling and that she felt lost without God in her life.
Then, she continues, “Right then and there I turned on the radio to a Christian radio station which I hadn’t listened to in years and y’all I’m not even kidding just instant peace rushed over me.”
The Duggar cousin says that she “rededicated” her life to God in that moment.
Finally, she adds, “Jesus changed my life that day and he’s been working in my heart ever since.”
