On Sunday, April 10, Esther shared two new photos of herself on Instagram. In these photos, she’s hanging out at a friend’s house and playing with her children. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed something about the pictures. Esther is wearing a shirt that reads “American Mama.”
This shirt choice had Bringing Up Bates fans asking if she’s pregnant. Esther and Nathan tied the knot in October of 2021, and they aren’t expecting a baby yet, as far as fans know. But this shirt could have leaked the announcement.
Fans speculated, trying to figure out why Esther would be wearing this shirt if she wasn’t pregnant. And fans also thought this meant an announcement would be coming soon.

In a new Instagram story post on Monday, April 11, Esther answered fans’ many questions about the shirt she was wearing. As it turns out, she has a good reason for wearing it.
Bringing Up Bates star Esther revealed to fans that she had gotten several messages about the shirt she was wearing. However, it wasn’t actually a pregnancy announcement.
Esther explains:
“Y’all got good eyes. But this is not a pregnancy announcement! I only borrowed this shirt from my friend because I didn’t have a change of comfy clothes with me after church!”
So, it doesn’t sound like Esther is pregnant yet. But it may not be long before this couple decides to have a baby. So, fans should be on the lookout for an announcement. For now, it looks like Esther is enjoying spending time with her friends’ children.
