WWE News: Nash Carter Released, NXT Call Ups

In the wake of Wrestlemania, WWE News has come hard and fast. Nash Carter of WWE NXT has been accused of several allegations from his ex-girlfriend which quickly went viral. The allegations have now led to his release from the company. Gunther and Imperium are now rumored to move up to the main roster. Spoilers are also available for both NXT Level-Up and WWE Main Event to close up this week’s WWE News for the start of April.

WWE News: Nash Carter released

In recent years, social media history and technology can come back to haunt people. For Nash Carter of WWE NXT, his past has caused his release. Impact Wrestling’s Kimber Lee accused ex-boyfriend Carter of domestic abuse and posted pictures of herself bruised up on Twitter.

The pictures were taken down quickly from social media leading into Wrestlemania weekend. Following Carter’s tag title win at NXT Stand & Deliver, Lee posted a new picture of Carter with a Hitler-style mustache that led to his release. The backlash came on strong, however, which then led to his release.

Moving on up

It is expected that superstars from WWE NXT would get called up to the main roster after Wrestlemania. According to Fightful select, Gunther and Marcel Barthel of Imperium will get bumped to Raw or Smackdown in the upcoming weeks. This would explain Gunther losing clean to Bron Breakker this week on NXT 2.0. Also on NXT 2.0, Fabian Archer walked out on Imperium to further double down on the report. Additional rumors have speculated that Raquel Gonzalez could also move up in a singles role.

LA Knight could be moving on but in a managerial role to either Raw or Smackdown. Knight, at 38, is the oldest superstar in NXT who are trying to keep the brand for younger wrestlers. Knight most recently lost to Gunther at Stand & Deliver.
