WWE Smackdown: 3 Must-See Moments

Theory tests Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns and The Bloodline kick off WWE Smackdown. The Undisputed Universal Champion has been dominant for two years, and the Tribal Cheif has vowed to continue on. At WWE Summerslam, Reigns will defend his title against a returning Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing Match. The last time both men did battle was when Reigns unified the titles at WWE Wrestlemania. As the segment came to a close, Theory’s music hit who made his way to the ring. Theory ran a lap around the ring with his Money in the Bank suitcase, teasing the champion about a future cash-in.

The Maximum Male Models on display
Max Dupri has been a regular on WWE Smackdown for the better part of two months. The former LA Knight (and Eli Drake) has created his own stable of superstars called The Maximum Male Models. The team consists of Mace and Mansoor, formally of Retribution. On Friday Night Smackdown, Dupri came to the ring to reveal is Summer 2022 Tennis Collection, with Mace and Mansoor wearing to the ring. Dupri plugged his website and called for headshots for those who think they could cut it in his agency.

A surprising change

The Brawling Brutes backfire
In the main event of WWE Smackdown, Sheamus was scheduled to battle Drew McIntyre. The winner was set to challenge Roman Reigns at WWE Clash at the Castle, however, plans quickly changed. Sheamus came to the ring and claimed he was sick. He coughed into the mic, saying he might even test positive for COVID. In his place, Sheamus was replaced by Butch. The match didn’t last long as McIntyre quickly disposed of Butch with his signature Claymore. Ridge Holland rushed to the ring, however, his efforts failed as he was put down by McIntyre. Sheamus then attempted to try his hand at an attack, but McIntyre swung his sword and stood tall to end the show.
