Hannah’s family used to be involved with the IBLP, too, but it looks like they have since separated themselves from the organization. So, what happened when Jeremiah Duggar and Hannah Wissmann tied the knot?
Fans wonder if Jeremiah Duggar changed religions when marrying Hannah Wissmann.
In a new confession to the Duggar Bates Confessions Instagram page, one fan speculated about Hannah and Jeremiah’s religious beliefs. The fan points out that the Wissmann family previously left the IBLP. However, it looks like their daughter, Hannah just recently married back into the religion.
Though this can vary by each couple and their religious beliefs, it seems like most Duggar couples end up sticking to the same religion.
One fan speculates that Jeremiah Duggar might have been the one to leave his religion to marry Hannah, though. One fan says, “perhaps Jer has left it and they will be doing their own thing religion wise?”
Other fans are trying to figure out why Hannah’s family might be okay with her marrying back into the IBLP, though. They have a hard time believing Jeremiah could have abandoned his family’s beliefs. One fan says, “A lot of people left over gothard (on both sides, for him and against him), not necessarily over the beliefs espoused by iblp. Maybe that’s true for them and that’s why they’re okay with their daughter marrying into that.”
We don’t know for sure whether Jeremiah has left the IBLP or Hannah has re-joined the organization. But fans assume there was some change in their religion when they got married.
