The studio finally announced that a second season is officially underway. On Friday, April 1, the official Masamune-kun’s Revenge Twitter account announced the news. The show was trying to be clever by saying the series is getting a third season. Some fans wondered if they missed Season 2 already.

What to expect in the new season?

The Masamune-kun’s Revenge Season 2 trailer dropped hints by including upcoming scenes. In the series, originally titled Masamune-kun’s Revenge R, there are also no details on the cast, production staff, studio, or premiere date at the time of this article. The original manga series ended back in 2018.

There’s still plenty of material for the studio to go with. But, the television adaptation is also likely to end after the second season. Yet, fans will have to wait and see if that’s the case. For now, fans can watch the debut season of Masamune-kun’s Revenge on the streaming platform Crunchyroll. The synopsis for the first season is described as follows:

“‘I’ve returned to this town for revenge!’ Eight years ago, Makabe Masamune, a weak and chubby boy, was harshly rejected by the beautiful Adagaki Aki. Now, he’s lost a ton of weight, changed his name, and returned as a handsome teenage boy… all to make the ‘Brutal Princess’ Aki fall in love with him so that he can reject her just as harshly as she did.”
