Amy Halterman from TLC

1000-Lb. Sisters fans watched Amy Halterman and her family grow before their very eyes. This year, her son Gage will turn two years old. But is the TLC star rushing things just a bit?

Amy loves sharing her life with Instagram followers. But after her most recent post about a family outing, some fans are asking questions.

Keep reading to find out a little bit more about the situation.

One of Amy Halterman’s followers thought Gage was a little young for the show

Amy Halterman recently took Gage to see Disney On Ice. It’s a dream come true for many children — they’re just generally a little bit older than Gage.

The little boy will be two years old this fall. And this fact had a few fans a little puzzled. Many wondered why Amy would take her little boy to such an exciting show when he won’t even remember it.

Scrolling through the comments, it’s clear to see that several parents would have waited until Gage was a little bit older so that he could fully appreciate the show. But other fans thought this criticism was a little unnecessary.

“Well that’s you,” clapped back one of Amy’s followers. “And I can’t believe you just said that.”

Other followers chimed in that the show would still be a fun memory for Michael and Amy. Another suggested that the family may go back when Gage is a little older. It could very well be the start of a fun family tradition.

Other fans beg the Haltermans to boycott Disney in general

Some followers thought Gage was too young to see Disney On Ice. But other fans thought he shouldn’t be allowed to see the show at all. In another exchange, a fan implored Amy Halterman to boycott Disney due to their inclusive stances.

“Please stop supporting Disney,” wrote one irate fan on Amy’s Instagram post. “They want to indoctrinate your children with homosexuality and transgenderism. When your son goes to pre-k, they will teach him perverted ideologies.”

However, most of Amy’s followers really thought that was a ridiculous statement. They clapped back at the Instagram user in the comments.

“Examples of the indoctrination? Another fan wrote. “What specifically are they doing to ingrain homosexuality and transgenderism?”

On 1000-Lb. Sisters, Tammy Slaton even came out as pansexual. So more than likely, Amy Halterman doesn’t have a problem with the LGBTQ+ community.
