Bachelorette alum responds to rumor he’s joining Season 19
During the After the Final Rose special following the Bachelor Season 26 finale, the network made a historic announcement. Host Jesse Palmer revealed that two of Clayton Echard’s contestants would lead Season 19 of The Bachelorette.
Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia will look for love together as the first joint leads. ABC hasn’t revealed all the details yet, but show creator Mike Fleiss assured fans it wouldn’t be a repeat of Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson’s season where the men voted to send Britt home.
Bachelor Nation spoiler guru Reality Steve revealed the first bombshell about Season 19 shortly after the announcement. According to the blogger, Season 17 contestant Connor B. will return to pursue Gabby and/or Rachel.
However, Connor B. was quick to dispute the rumor. Us Weekly reported that the alum responded to Reality Steve’s tweet, “News to me lmao” with a laughing emoji.
However, his laughter soon faded after getting nasty messages from fans of the franchise.

Hours after his initial denial, Connor B. returned to Twitter in a tizzy. In a series of explosive tweets, the former contestant ranted against the barrage of hateful messages Reality Steve’s post caused.
He called the blogger’s bombshell a “dumba** rumor.” Connor further vented being flooded with “the meanest things anyone has ever said” about him.
In a follow-up tweet, he seemed to repeat some of the things people have said. “We get it; i’m cringey and annoying and desperate for attention and i give you the ick.’
He ended that part of the rebuttal with a word of advice for Bachelor Nation fans. “now stfu and go do something nice for someone you f*cking jackals”
However, he wasn’t done defending his character.
Denies he went on The Bachelorette to further music career
Connor B. famously stepped out of the limo in a cat suit to appeal to Katie Thurston’s love for cats, especially her beloved feline Tommy.
In addition to the cat suit, Connor brought his ukelele along and he wasn’t shy about playing it for Katie and the viewers.
In fact, there was speculation that he was only on the show to promote his music career. He addressed those rumor in his Twitter tirade.
Connor asserts that finding love is “the only reason” he went on the show. Furthermore, if he ever does return to the show, that would be why. “Not for clout or followers or attention or a music career,” he added.
