‘Below Deck Med’ Anastasia Surmava Celebrates Happy News With Fans

Below Deck Mediterranean alum Anastasia Surmava has happy news to share with fans. She announced that she and her boyfriend, Will Higginson, are now engaged. The pair went official on Instagram in April 2021. They have been dating just under a year before sharing this milestone.

Prior to her new relationship, Anastasia had fans wondering if she was dating fellow alum, Alex Radcliffe. The two seemed to be an item for a while now. The two were in a flirtationship ever since they became friends thanks in part to the franchise.

Anastasia confirmed that she wasn’t dating Alex Radcliffe. The former Below Deck Med cast member described their relationship as brother and sister. She described it as a “really f***ed up brother and sister” who always quarrel. The two appeared on Below Deck: Galley Talk, where they would watch and discuss the current season of the Below Deck franchise.

Below Deck Med fans couldn’t help but notice how much they flirted with one another. In early 2021, Anastasia showed off her new boyfriend on social media. She revealed that she was dating Will Higginson. Even though they never dated or hooked up, Alex thought Anastasia was hitting on him when they first met.

She welcomed him to the Below Deck Med family on social media. Anastasia told him that he could reach out to her with any questions. Alex never received a message like that from anyone. He assumed Anastasia’s nice gesture was her way of flirting.

Anastasia explained that she was just being nice. She noticed that he didn’t have many followers at first. Alex took that as a sign that someone famous from the show wanted to hook up with him. The blonde beauty explained that she wasn’t trying to slide into his DMs.

Rather, she was trying to be his friend. The two hit it off and became best friends ever since. She describes them as “f***ed up cousins.” It sounds like these two have an unusual dynamic.

Anastasia fell in love with the British male model. The Below Deck Med Season 4 cast member took to Instagram to post a sweet video with the caption, “Wait till the end.” The clip shows Anastasia and Will vacationing with a group of friends at a lake house in Vermont. The Below Deck family took to the comment section to congratulate her. Below Deck Med alum Hannah Ferrier wrote, “Congratulations my angel!!! Could not be happier for you guys! Love you so much x.” Allie Dore from Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 commented, “Oh my gosh congratulations!!!!! This is so beautiful and exciting I’m so happy for you babe.”
