WWE Smackdown 3/18: 3 Must-See Moments, Full Results
The superstars of Friday Night Smackdown are only two weeks away from Wrestlemania. With the big show in the near future, the tension is heating up on the blue brand. Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns continued their war of wars as the Beast sought revenge. Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey once again got phsycial, which ended with the former champion going through a table. Here are three must-see moments from WWE Smackdown plus full results from the show.
WWE Smackdown: 3 Must-See Moments
Brock’s revenge
In the wake of his recent beatdown at Madison Square Garden, Brock Lesnar is still looking for revenge against the Bloodline. WWE Smackdown kicked off with The Bloodline in the ring with Roman Reigns sending a clear warning. The WWE Universal Championed mocked Lesnar, claiming his absence on Smackdown was for his own good. Paul Heyman quickly interrupted Reigns and informed him that Lesnar was on his way to the area. Later in the show, Reigns, the Usos, and Heyman attempted to flee in a getaway truck but the beast was not far behind. As the truck made its way out of the area, Lesnar grabbed the side door and ripped it off the hinges.
Charlotte’s message
SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair made her way to the ring. To the surprise of no one, Charlotte was quick to brag about her attack on Rousey last week. Charlotte’s big mouth resulted in Ronda Rousey appearing on the entrance ramp and getting into a fight with the champion. Rousey was quick to get the upper hand as they brawled at ringside. With Rousey on the offensive, Charlotte grabbed a kendo stick and used it to her advantage. The Smackdown Women’s Champion then put Rousey through a table to end the show.
A soft apology
McAfee’s “apology”
Earlier this month, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon appeared on the Pat McAfee podcast. During the show, McMahon offered McAfee an opportunity to wrestle at Wrestlemania, which the host quickly accepted. McAfee’s opponent was revealed to be Austin Theory who has since made it a point to stand out. Theory and McAfee got physical on last week’s WWE Smackdown, which promoted a stern warning to be thrown out. If McAfee didn’t apologize for his actions, he’d be out og a job with the WWE. McAfee stood face to face with Theory on this week’s Smackdown, issuing an apology that wasn’t too sincere.
