Katie will continue to live in their marital home. Schwartz hopes to get some support from his BFF. On Tuesday, March 15, the two announced they are ending their marriage after 12 years together. Katie reportedly feels that Schwartz never “stepped up” in his role as a husband.

Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney have been the center of split rumors for weeks. The two broke their silence on Instagram. Schwartz appeared dejected in his post. He also revealed the breakup was Katie’s decision. Katie said that she never thought she would have to share this kind of news with her fans.

“I never thought I would have to make an announcement like this. But I feel it’s important that I’m open about my life with you. After 12 years on an adventure through life together Tom and I are ending our marriage.”

She added that the two have no “resentment” or “animosity” towards one another. Katie said that they will always “cherish our friendship.” She noted they were on “different paths.” Tom Schwartz seemed more disappointed in his post. He was even afraid to say the “D-word.”

“Well, this sucks. How am I supposed to capture 12 years of love in a f***in’ Instagram caption?” Tom Schwartz wrote. “I’m not ready to use the ‘D’ word bc it’s too painful. Yes, my heart aches.”

Yet, he claims there’s “no bitterness.” Schwartz added that Katie will always be in his heart. However, he said he will have to get his “Bubba” tattoo removed from his butt. Fans have been buzzing about their split ever since.

Currently, Tom Schwartz is living with Tom Sandoval and his girlfriend Ariana Madix. He moved out of their $1.9 million property located in Valley Village. Since they are considering the idea of divorce, an insider told The Sun that they will have to give up their marital home.

“They have to sell the house because it’s too big and too expensive for either of them to live there alone, it doesn’t make sense for them. Katie is very much in the driver’s seat of this breakup so whatever she says goes.”

In 2019, the pair purchased the 3,500-square-foot house in Los Angeles for a little over $1.9 million. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom looks similar to Sandoval’s pad, which is down the street from them. The source added that Schwartz is leaning on his pal “a lot for moral support.” Yet, Ariana has been supportive of Katie and her decision.
