Lifetime has announced A New Orleans Noel, an upcoming It’s A Wonderful Lifetime movie. This movie includes a star-studded cast. That includes Keshia Knight Pulliam (Cosby, House Of Payne), Brad James (A House Divided, Prisoners), Patti LaBelle (The Masked Singer, Star), Tim Reid (WKRp In Cincinnati, Sister, Sister), Drez Ryan (Moonshot, Ordinary Joe), and Kamille McCuin (Scream Queens, NCIS: New Orleans).
Alys Murray (Every Time A Bell Rings, Christmas In Louisiana), and Angela Tucker (Paper Chase, The Trees Remember) wrote the script, and Angela Tucker (Black Folk Don’t, I Am Not Going To Change 400 Years In Four) is the director. Whoopi Goldberg is the Executive Producer.

What Is A New Orleans Noel About?
Ready for a holiday in New Orleans? According to the Lifetime synopsis, Grace Hill (Pulliam), and Anthony Brown (James) could not be more different. They did go to college to study architecture together. But, their lives took them on completely separate paths.
However, they’re both hired to work together on the home of Loretta Brown (LaBelle). She is a New Orleans praline icon. Therefore, the two find themselves working together at Christmas. Moreover, they are butting heads over more than just architecture.
Yet, when Anthony and his family discover that Grace will be celebrating Christmas alone, they invite her to take part in their traditions and their celebrations. Soon, fiercely independent Grace begins to learn the importance of family and community. Meanwhile, modern Anthony learns to embrace tradition and the magic of Christmas.
But when Grace is offered a new job far away from New Orleans she’ll have to decide if she’ll leave, or follow her heart.
That is not the only romance. Marcel Lirette (Reid), a handsome, retired friend moves back to town after years away. Should It be any surprise he catches Loretta’s eye?
Where Was Lifetime’s A New Orleans Noel Filmed?
It’s A Wonderful Lifetime movie, A New Orleans Noel, was filmed in Natchez, Louisiana, back in December. According to the Natchez Democrat, they filmed the movie before the holidays. Originally called Christmas In The Quarter, they filmed in this historic location instead of New Orleans.
Visit Natchez Executive Director Devin Heath has shared that this is quickly becoming a beautiful location to film Christmas movies. Hallmark had filmed Every Time A Bell Rings back in 2021. The hoopla over that movie may have helped cement the decision to move this Lifetime movie filming location from New Orleans to Natchez.
You’ve seen and heard all the excitement that is going on around Natchez. The fact that Daniel Lewis is pulling a production out of New Orleans to come to Natchez speaks volumes for what we have to offer, the variety of locations and just how welcoming this community has been to the production.
When Will Lifetime Air A New Orleans Noel?
It’s A Wonderful Lifetime starts sometime in late fall. The network will certainly announce a premiere date later in the summer, as well as their collection of holiday movies.
