WWE Raw marches forward with Wrestlemania only one month away. The main event saw Damien Priest defend his US Championship against Finn Balor. NXT’s Tommaso Ciampa clashed with Robert Roode. RKBro took on The Street Profits, while Omos dismantled T-BAR. Here are 3 must-see moments from Monday Night Raw, plus full results and ratings from the show.
WWE Raw: 3 Must-See Moments
1) AJ Styles accepts Edge’s Wrestlemania Challenge
With Wrestlemania just a month away, Edge finally found his opponent. After issuing an open challenge for the big show, AJ Styles answered the call. Both former champions were face to face, with Edge insisting he wanted the old AJ in the ring. Edge ridiculed Styles for being in a tag team over the last year before blindsiding him. Styles was beaten down by the Hall of Famer and given a Con-Chair-To to close the show.
2) Kevin Owens hints at Mania match with Stone Cold
Kevin Owens kicked off Monday Night Raw with Seth Rollins by his side. Owens ripped into the state of Texas, the host state for Wrestlemania. Owens and Rollins welcomed The Alpha Academy to “The KO Show” but got into a confrontation with the team. After Gable mocked Owens, KO returned the favor with a stunner.
New Champion Crowned
3) Priest snaps after losing US Championship
In the main event of Monday Night Raw, Damian Preist defended his US Title against Finn Balor. Balor had been rumored to have lost favor with Vince McMahon on the red brand, so the result came as a surprise. After one of the better WWE Raw main events in some time, Balor won the title after a Coup de Grace. Following the match, Preist snapped and went on an all-out assault of the new champion. Priest pulled Balor to the outside and put him through a table.
