WWE News: Smackdown Preview, Cesaro Leaves WWE

WWE Wrestlemania is just over a month away and the road to the big show is heating up. On this week’s WWE Smackdown, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar take part in a contract signing. The biggest news of the day reports that Cesaro has left the company to the shock of many.

WWE News: WWE Smackdown 2/25 Preview

Wrestlemania Contract Signing:
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will meet face to face in the ring on WWE Smackdown. Both men will sign the contract prior to their Title vs. Title Winner Take All Match at WrestleMania in just five weeks. With Lesnar reclaiming the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber, the main event has become even more historic. It’ll be the first time since Wrestlemania 6 that a Title vs Title match will main event the show. That year, The Ultimate Warrior defeated Hulk Hogan in Toronto, Canada.

On last week’s WWE Smackdown, Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to become to new Intercontinental Champion. Just one week after his victory, Zayn will be given the platform to speak about his newfound gold.

In a rematch from the Elimination Chamber 2022, Drew McIntyre will go face Madcap Moss. McIntyre made easy work of Moss but only time will tell if history will repeat itself. Happy Corbin will be at ringside, giving the potential advantage to Moss.

Cesaro leaves WWE

Fightful reports that Cesaro (aka Claudio Castagnoli) has chosen not to renew his contract. Cesaro was on a one-year extension that came to an end this week and he declined WWE’s latest offer. There was no 90-day no-compete clause, leaving the Swiss Superman able to join any promotion he wants at any time. Cesaro debuted with the company back in September 2011 on the NXT brand, with his last match taking place on February 11.

NXT UK 3/3 Preview:
The following is the card for the March 3 edition of NXT UK. The Main Event features a match for the NXT UK Championship. Ilja Dragunov has been on a roll since dethroning WALTER, and looks to keep his momentuem strong.
