What Is Lifetime’s Buried In Barstow About?
According to The Futon Critic, Lifetime’s Buried In Barstow is centered around Hazel King (Harmon). A single mother with a teenage daughter (Richards), she runs a diner in Barstow. However, her past catches up with her.
Turns out, that when she was only 15, Hazel was plucked from the Vegas streets and trained to be a ruthless hit woman. Now, she needs to fulfill one last favor.
But, Hazel has a few complications. One is Elliot (Polaha) who has a complicated past and presents more than one surprise to her life. Then, there is her daughter Joy (Richards). Joy’s priorities are not what Hazel envisioned for her daughter. How far would Hazel go to protect her little girl?
What Does Buried In Barstow Trailer Reveal?
Although the Lifetime official synopsis makes Buried In Barstow sound good, the official trailer is out of this world! There is so much action.
As the camera shows a gun being loaded, and then a woman putting on bright lipstick, we hear Bruce McGill’s voice say, “I saw something in her. So, I’ve trained her for what she is born to do: pure predator.” We don’t know who he is, but it is clear he is the guy that turned her into a hitwoman.
Next are scenes from Hazel’s new life. She is a waitress, there is her daughter, now she is is doing some espionage work. All along, Angie Harmon’s voice as Hazel saying, “Every since I was a girl, trouble had a way of finding me. Now that I’m a mother, I moved to Barstow to live a normal life. But you know how the saying goes? Old habits die hard.”
Suddenly, there is a tender moment. Elliot (Kristoffer Polaha) and Hazel are embracing. He gently urges her, “Whatever you think you have to do, don’t do it.”
After that, we see Hazel in action. She is one tough hitwoman! Moreover, this trailer looks fresh and exciting!

What Do We Know About Kristoffer Polaha’s Elliot?
In Lifetime’s Buried In Barstow, Hazel is involved with Elliot. The trailer does not share much about him. Is he an long-term boyfriend? Apparently not. Thanks to a Deanna Barnert tweet, we know a bit more.
