‘Doubling Down With The Derricos’ Season 3: Diez Health Update
TLC’s Doubling Down With the Derricos fans have been concerned about one of Deon and Karen’s 14 children, in particular. After learning of Diez Derrico’s health concerns, fans were worried about the young boy. He’s four years old and has a twin, Dior.
Karen and Deon’s other children include Darian, 15, Derrick, 10, Dallas and Denver, 9, Deonee, Daician, Daiten, Deniko and Dariz, 7, Diez and Dior, 4, Dawsyn, De’Aren, and Dyver, 2.
For those who don’t know, Diez previously had surgery to address a health concern. This has captured fans’ attention who were worried about the young kid. On Doubling Down With the Derricos Season 2, Deon explained, “The average head should be 80 cm. They don’t even want it to be 70 — that’s considered low. His is 65.”
Due to the size of Diez’s head, he needed surgery to correct the issue. His cranial reconstruction surgery was documented on the show. While everything seemed to be going as planned with his recovery, he ended up hurting himself recently, raising some concerns.
Doubling Down With the Derricos: How is Diez?
During the Season 3 premiere of Doubling Down With the Derricos, Deon and Karen noticed that Diez had a bump on his head. They realized he had hit his head on a toy box, which caused the bump. However, with Diez’s past health issues and surgery, they wanted to make sure that this was nothing to worry about. So, they contacted the doctor, Dr. Ozaki.
Over on Twitter, Doubling Down With the Derricos fans shared their concerns for little Diez. One wrote, “aweee poor baby 🙁 i hope he’s ok #diez #TheDerricos #doublingdownwiththederricos”
Other viewers shared similar posts, revealing that they were praying for the little guy.
Fortunately, after a video call with Dr. Ozaki, the Derricos learned that everything was okay with Diez. Because he went back to playing and none of his behaviors changed after hitting his head, the doctor reassured Deon and Karen that there’s nothing to worry about.
Fans were relieved to know that the four-year-old is totally fine. They tweeted that they were glad to see these positive results.
