Erika Jayne Girardi has specific criteria for the next man in her life. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has become very picky since her divorce from her estranged husband Thomas Girardi. She no longer wants to date older men. Rather, the Bravo star wants to “have fun,” maybe even with a younger man.

This comes after Erika revealed that she’s not interested in getting married again. She would rather have a hot hookup or affair that no one knows about. Erika started dating again after she filed for divorce on November 3, 2020. In a new interview, the dancer teased that her dating life “is not exactly tumbleweeds,” but there are “some hot moments.”

The 50-year-old is ready to move on from her marriage. Erika Jayne is switching it up when it comes to dating. She filed for divorce from the 82-year-old former attorney. In an exclusive interview with People, Erika says she will no longer date older men. However, she acknowledges she can’t fully move on until she does so legally.

“I’m 50, so maybe somebody in my age range, but I’m not doing [it] anymore,” Erika Jayne said at an event for her Pretty Mess Luxury Hair Extension collection at Tatel in Beverly Hills. “I love intelligent men and I like people that are confident. And I want to have fun. I would really like to have a nice conversation. I’m technically still married, so I’m in a very weird place.”

Erika met Tom at Chasen’s restaurant in Los Angeles in the late ’90s. He was a regular and she worked there as a cocktail waitress. The former couple dated for six months. Then, Tom proposed to Erika and they married in 1999 at the same restaurant where they met.

The couple was married for 21 years, until Erika Jayne filed for divorce in November 2020. Just a month later, they were sued for allegedly embezzling funds to support their lavish lifestyle. Erika has been dragged into a series of legal controversies. She denies any wrongdoing.

Erika Jayne also denied her involvement in the ongoing embezzlement case. She was dismissed from a case that took place in Illinois, but she was hit with another fraud and embezzlement suit in her native California. Meanwhile, Tom has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia. He’s been placed under a temporary conservatorship as a result.

Erika Jayne dealt with the aftermath of her divorce and the lawsuit on Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It caused her to clash with many of her castmates. They questioned her involvement in Tom’s business and the status of their marriage. Erika also made some shocking revelations, such as Tom’s unreported car crash.

Now, she wants to be tight-lipped on her personal life in the upcoming season. She also teased that her dating life has gotten interesting. However, she doesn’t want to share the juicy details. The Chicago alum wants to keep that to herself.
