Scheana Shay Says Future Of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Is Unclear
Scheana Shay admits that the future of Vanderpump Rules is uncertain at the moment. Fans are anxiously awaiting to see if Bravo will renew the show for another season. Yet, this season had plummeting ratings. It’s not the hot show it once was.
A reason for this is that it moved on without most of the original cast members. In June 2020, Bravo fired Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute for their past racist actions and behavior. Six months later, Brittany Cartwright and her husband Jax Taylor announced their exits from the show.
Fans think the show is boring without them. While Pump Rules wrapped its ninth season in January 2022, the verdict is still out on Season 10.
Is there hope for a Vanderpump Rules Season 10?
Fans would love to see the show return for Season 10. Especially since that Lala Kent and James Kennedy are now single. However, it’s not unusual for the show to be in limbo. The show was on hiatus amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Per Variety, the show resumed filming a year-and-a-half after Season 8. Much of the delay had to do with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Restaurants were closed in Los Angeles and there were safety precautions.
Now that Pump Rules Season 9 is over, some fans are wondering about the future of the show. Is it the end? Or, is there hope for another season? Scheana Shay is hoping that she will return for another season. She just doesn’t know if the future of the show is clear.
The Boy Crazy founder spoke to Amanda Hirsch on the Not Skinny But Not Fan podcast. She teased that she hopes to land a deal that will allow her back on the show. Scheana said she “wasn’t feeling like [herself]” while filming Season 9. The Bravo star started filming three days after she returned home from the hospital with her newborn, Summer Moon.
Scheana Shay wasn’t herself on the show
During the time, Scheana Shay was on medication. She felt emotional because of her hormones. Despite the difficult experience, Scheana Shay would love to return to VPR. She finally feels like herself again and would love to give it another shot.
“It was so much. It was a lot. Having to be away from [Summer] for sometimes up to six hours, and then being like, ‘this is the longest I can possibly go until I have to pump.’ [I’d have to] go home in between things that we [were] filming,” Scheana Shay said on the Tuesday, February 1, episode of the podcast. “I’m really hoping for a Season 10 because I feel like I’m me again. I just feel like myself, and it’s taken nine months to really feel that way.”
She’s not the only cast member who feels that way. Lala Kent wants to join for another season. She was hesitant at first because she was emotional from her split with Randall Emmett. Lala didn’t feel like her co-stars were there for her during and after the reunion.
Despite their public breakup, Lala is looking forward to exploring her new life as a single mom on the show. She feels that this year is going to be here. Are you interested in watching Vanderpump Rules Season 10? Sound off below in the comment section.
