‘Below Deck’ Jessica Albert’s Reason For Quitting Confuses Fans

Below Deck Season 9 crew member Jessica Albert explained why she quit mid-season. The former stew quit on the interior team just hours before the next charter. At the time, Jessica claimed that she was stressed and overwhelmed with the job. Not only did she struggle with anxiety, but she was also worried about her sick grandparents.

Ultimately, the stress got to her. On the Monday, February 7, episode of the Below Deck Season 9 reunion special, Jessica claims that the cameras were to blame. Even though both her crew members and viewers said that she looked “miserable” and didn’t want to do her job. Jessica made an appearance at the reunion and explained what led her to quit her job.

Jessica Albert felt too much pressure being on camera

Apparently, the Below Deck newbie didn’t quit because she didn’t fit in with fellow stews Heather Chase and Fraser Olender. Rather, she didn’t like the pressure of being on camera at all times. Jessica explained why she left her team hanging high and dry. She had no idea what she was in for when she took on the job on My Seanna.

Jessica has never been on a reality show like Below Deck before. She only worked as a solo stew at her previous jobs. The brunette beauty wasn’t used to working on a team. The cameras and production left her feeling stressed and overwhelmed about her job. It exacerbated her anxiety and caused her to lose 15 pounds while onboard the yacht.

That’s not all. She also blamed Heather for setting her up to fail from the start. Jessica has since left the yachting industry behind. She told host Andy Cohen that she works in sales and catering at a beach resort in her native Florida. The former Below Deck star is much happier these days. However, fans didn’t believe that the cameras were the reason why Jessica left the show.

Below Deck fans are sick of the excuses. The outspoken bunch to Twitter to share their thoughts about what Jessica said about quitting her job. When they heard that she quit because of the cameras, they were confused. Some of them didn’t believe her since she was not good at her job.
