Anna Duggar Continues To Get Roasted: Was Her Post A Mistake?

Anna Duggar finally broke her social media silence, but her post might not have gotten her the response she was hoping for. Since speaking out on Thursday night, Anna has been dragged on Twitter and other social media platforms.

In case you missed it, Anna spoke out about her husband Josh Duggar’s legal troubles for the first time ever. Josh was arrested in the spring of 2021, went to trial in November, and was found guilty in December. He’s currently awaiting sentencing, but in the meantime, his legal team has requested a new trial.

This whole time, Anna has been silent on social media, except to announce her baby’s birth. She also never made a statement on Josh’s arrest or guilty verdict. Sources have said that Anna still believes Josh is innocent, however.

On Thursday, Anna sent out a social media post that simply read, “There is more to the story.” Then, she directed her followers to the link in her bio. The link takes you to a legal document filed by Josh’s defense in January. It’s their request for a new trial.

On Instagram, she’s not getting a lot of attention for her post. She also has her comments heavily restricted so almost no one is allowed to comment on the post.

Anna Duggar gets roasted on Twitter.

When Anna Duggar shared the same message in a tweet, she began getting roasted by fellow Twitter users. Many are calling her out for staying with Josh and not protecting her kids. Others are suggesting CPS gets involved in this situation. Some are calling the whole situation “disgusting.”

One Twitter user writes, “It’s disgusting that you sat in the court room and saw the evidence and you’re still defending him. Your poor, poor children.”

Someone else writes, “She’s beyond delusional. I once felt bad for her. I never will again. What a heinous family.”

Yet another calls her a “gross human being.”

Others wonder what she thinks the other side of the story might be. One Twitter user says, “Oh honey, the Feds don’t mess around. This is a closed-case. There is no story.”

It doesn’t look like Anna is taking her tweet down, though. It’s been up for a couple of days now, and the critical responses keep rolling in.

So, do you think that Anna Duggar should have stayed silent instead of sharing this post? What do you think of all of the criticism she’s received? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. And for more news about the Duggar family, come back to TV Shows Ace.
