Are Counting On fans accusing Jessa Seewald of exploiting her children? New comments about the Duggar daughter suggest that she may be posting photos of her children online for her benefit. So, what’s going on?
In case you don’t know, Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, share four children, Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, and Fern. Online, they often share pictures and videos of their kids. The family has a YouTube channel, and both Jessa and Ben are active on Instagram.
Because Counting On was canceled, fans enjoy keeping up with the Seewalds on Instagram and YouTube.
It also looks like Jessa and Ben bring in some income, thanks to their social media activity. They can make money on views on YouTube, and Jessa sometimes posts sponsored content on Instagram. So, she’s likely receiving a commission, a flat rate, or free products from companies.
However, now, fans have questions and concerns about Jessa Seewald’s posts featuring her children.
Duggar fan accuses Jessa Seewald of ‘exploiting’ her kids.
In a new post on Duggar Bates Confessions on Instagram, a fan referenced a recent social media comment where Jessa Seewald stood up for her son, Spurgeon. A fan had commented on Jessa’s post and said they thought Spurgeon looked “sad and lonely.”
Though one fan’s thoughts aren’t directly related to these social media comments, they had something to say. In one comment on the confession, a fan called out Jessa for exploiting her kids online. The Instagram user wrote, “She has lovely kids but if she’s putting them on social media to make money should expect some comments. Get a real job and stop exploiting your minor children.”
A handful of fans also “liked” the comment, seemingly agreeing with the sentiment.
Whether Jessa Seewald is exploiting her children is up for debate. Some fans dislike that Jessa and her siblings were on TLC for much of their lives and for many important and personal moments. Some fans even claim that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar exploited their children by making them be a part of 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On.
