WWE News: Royal Rumble Spoilers, Ronda Rousey And Brock Lesnar Notes


The WWE Royal Rumble is only hours away but some big news leading into the event has surfaced. With Wrestlemania only a few months away, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the WWE planning to make the rumble a massive headline-grabbing show.

WWE News: Ronda Returns

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Ronda Rousey has resigned with the WWE and is expected to make her return at the Royal Rumble PPV. Rousey is slated to return at the PPV and possibly in the women’s rumble match.”She’s back. She’s going to be back as a regular on SmackDown,” Meltzer said. “The only thing I know is that she will not be wrestling Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania,” Meltzer went on to say.

Ronda Rousey’s contract is for one year as she will be featured on WWE Smackdown on the FOX Network. Rousey’s last WWE match took place at Wrestlemania 35 in 2019 where she lost the title in the main event. Since then, Rousey has focused on building her family and being a first-time mother, but it appears she will be making her way back to the WWE.

Brock’s back in NYC

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will defend his title against Bobby Lashley at the WWE Royal Rumble this Saturday night. With Lesnar also locked in to compete at the Saudi Arabia PPV and Wrestlemania, those are not the only events he’ll be appearing on. Lesnar will be working the WWE live event at the Madison Square Garden in New York City on March 5. MSG has confirmed Lesnar will be making the rare appearance yesterday during the Road to WrestleMania show.


In a shocking news item, former WWE Superstar Paige could be making her return at the Royal Rumble. According to WrestlingNews.co, former NXT Women’s Champion Paige is cleared for an in-ring return. The rumor continued that she will be appearing as a surprise entrant in the women’s Royal Rumble match. Paige has been out of action since December 2017 due to a neck injury sustained in a tag team match.

The current card for the WWE Royal Rumble includes six big matches. The men and women’s 30 person rumble matches will occur with the winners earning a title shot. Brock Lesnar defends his WWE Championship against the former champion Bobby Lashley. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns puts his title on the line against Seth “Freakin” Rollins in a battle of former partners. Becky Lynch is defending her Raw Women’s Championship against number 1 contender Doudrop. In a mixed tag match, The Miz and Maryse battle Edge and Beth Phoenix in a personal grudge match.
