Former Chrisley Knows Best star misses his grandpa

Kyle Chrisley posted two throwback photos on Instagram. The first photo shows him and his sister Savannah in bed with their grandfather. Swipe right and you’ll see a photo of him as a young tween with his brother Chase Chrisley. Kyle admitted that his grandfather was very much on his mind that day.

“Much simpler times and man I sure do miss my Papa,” Kyle Chrisley captioned the heartfelt photos.

The reality star is still grieving the loss of his grandfather. It’s normal for Kyle to feel this way. Grief is a weird feeling since it never really goes away. No one can fully grieve the loss of someone. Sometimes you’re feeling fine and all of a sudden you’re missing your loved one.

Fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Some of them shared their love for the beautiful photos. Others said they could relate to Kyle’s feelings. This isn’t the first time he’s shared that he’s missed his Papa before.

On July 12, 2021, Kyle Chrisley shared another photo of himself with his grandpa. This time, the photo showed the two taking a nap together. He captioned the post: “He was my biggest fan and my best friend I miss you every day grandpa.” At the time, fans sent their love and support for the former television personality.

Kyle Chrisley misses grandpa Gene

Kyle Chrisley’s grandpa passed away before Chrisley Knows Best premiered. His father Todd Chrisley often talks about grandpa Gene in high regard. In the first season, Nanny Faye made a dating profile on Christian Mingle to find other men. Kyle Chrisley reminded her that there’s no one else like Gene.

While Kyle was willing to help her create a dating profile, she agreed that she wouldn’t find anyone else that would compare with her late husband. Kyle even noted that Papa looked better than most of the men on the dating site. Even Todd was uncomfortable with the idea of his mother dating another man.

Sadly, Gene passed away from cancer just two years before the family’s show premiered in 2012. He was 77 years old. Todd’s father served in the Army, where he fought in the Korean War. He married Faye in the 1960s. Fans have said they would love to see old photos of Nanny to see what she looked like back in the day.
