A video was published on YouTube almost two weeks ago revealing a request for prayers as Todd Chrisley was hospitalized in critical condition. The video has over 60,000 views and over 300 comments. The video has also been liked nearly 2,000 times. This video pops up as a recommended trending video for anyone who watches Chrisley content on YouTube right now.
Unsurprisingly, Chrisley Knows Best fans have rushed to the comments to send prayers up for Todd and his family. But, this bodes one very big question. Was Todd Chrisley hospitalized in critical condition just ten days ago?
As those who follow TVShowsAce for the latest reality TV news know, we regularly cover the Chrisley family. And, this was the first we’d heard of Todd Chrisley being hospitalized in critical condition. So, we decided to do a little digging and debunk whether this video was true.
Was Todd Chrisley hospitalized in critical condition?
The video claims Todd Chrisley contracted COVID-19. It reports Todd opened up about his experience with COVID during his Chrisley Confessions podcast. Now, as we’ve previously reported, Todd Chrisley did contract COVID-19. The virus did hit him so badly that he had to be rushed to the hospital. The family, however, is not currently in need of prayers. Nor was he rushed to the hospital in the past two weeks in critical condition.
This YouTube video actually features a picture of a member of the Chrisley family in a mask while sitting in a hospital bed. The thumbnail of the video definitely offers a scare factor that Todd Chrisley might actually be in the hospital. It, however, is important to take a close look at the photo. It isn’t even Todd in the photo in the hospital bed. Upon closer inspection, it is actually an older photo of his son Chase Chrisley.

Now, Todd Chrisley has been posting on his Instagram profile and Instagram Stories plenty in the past two weeks. He’s also went live on Instagram in the past two weeks with his wife Julie. Never did Todd or any other member of his family announce that he was hospitalized or in need of prayers.
The video reporting Todd was hospitalized in critical condition is a hoax. Fake news with a shocking title and thumbnail to encourage people to click and watch the video. Unfortunately, the comments of the video suggest people are actually falling for the video and believing it to be true.
In debunking this report, we can confirm Todd Chrisley has not been hospitalized in critical condition. He did have COVID that sent him into the hospital. But, this is not something that happened recently.
