‘When Calls The Heart’ Season 9 Will Explore A Special Relationship
As Hearties have to wait until March 6 for the premiere of When Calls The Heart Season 9, they may want to get a little scoop on what they should expect in the upcoming season.
More than one relationship will be getting closer on the Hallmark series!
When Calls The Heart Season 9 Will Be ‘Steamy’
When Calls The Heart Season 9 premieres on Sunday, March 6. This is a long-awaited return, since the surprise ending of Season 8.
Well, it was a surprise to those who were Team Nathan. Team Lucas fans were gloriously happy when the two met on the bridge in that very romantic scene.
Now, Elizabeth has made her choice. Fans no longer have to be confused or guess who she is going to pick. Now, Hope Valley has a new couple.
Already, Erin Krakow has shared that the upcoming season will be “steamy.” That is because Elizabeth (Krakow) and Lucas (Chris McNally) are officially courting!
Speaking to Palm Beach Illustrated, she shared, “We will have more romance and steamy scenes in Season 9.”
Krakow shared more with TVLine. “We’ve seen the fire burn between these two for years, and this season is no exception! Lucas and Elizabeth are finally getting to explore and enjoy their relationship.”
However, that is not the only relationship that viewers will see unfold through the 12 episodes. There will be a new relationship that will be key to this upcoming season.
Lucas And Little Jack Will Get Closer
When Erin shared a When Calls The Heart Season 9 sneak peek, she also added something pretty big.
We’re also getting to see Lucas in a new light — as father figure to Little Jack, who absolutely adores him!
For the first time in his life, Little Jack will have a real father figure. Moreover, it sounds like he and Lucas are quickly bonding.
In addition, this year, there will be a new actor portraying Little Jack. His name is Hyland Goodrich. This is the first role for the adorable Vancouver-based actor.
As for Gunner and Lincoln Taylor, the twins who originally played Baby Jack, they are taking a year off.
Why Did Lucas And Little Jack Rarely Meet In When Calls The Heart Season 8?
During Season 8 of When Calls The Heart, many Hearties thought that Elizabeth would choose Nathan because Lucas was never seen with Baby Jack.
John Tinker, the WCTH showrunner, shared on Facebook Live that Krakow and McNally had addressed their concern that Lucas had not been to Elizabeth’s row house, nor had he spent time with Baby Jack.
Turns out, it was not intentional. The Covid restrictions limited their use of the Taylor twins. This is why Lucas and Baby Jack were not seen together.
However, that will certainly change in WCTH Season 9!
Be sure to catch the premiere of When Calls The Heart Season 9 on Sunday, March 6, at 8 p.m. Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel.
