My 600-Lb. Life fans admit they find Ontreon Shannon’s faith to be a bit ironic during tonight’s episode. Now, this statement wasn’t made in a malicious way and fans weren’t dragging his choice in religion. They, however, questioned how someone claiming to be so faithful could not see the error of his own ways. What is it specifically that fans are saying about his religion? My 600-Lb. Life Ontreon Shannon: Epitome Of Gluttony?
Ontreon Shannon was introduced as a very religious man. He repeatedly tells the cameras he believes God has a purpose for him. He’s just not sure what that purpose is. Ontreon Shannon found happiness in his faith. During the episode, viewers got to see him graduate. His goal was to become a minister or a pastor. On Reddit, fans admit they find this to be a bit ironic.
“I love that his goal is to be a minister/paster when he’s the epitome of gluttony which is one of the seven deadly sins.” One fan points out in chatter on Reddit about the episode. Other fans agreed it was a pretty ironic path for him to travel down. Here’s some of what fans had to say in response.

Dr. Now seemed to believe Ontreon Shannon was waiting for something or someone to save him from his weight problem. At one point in time, the TLC doctor even points out there is no magic in his clinic that will save Ontreon Shannon from his struggles with weight. Some fans can’t help but wonder if he thought his faith was going to save him from his weight loss issues because “God had a purpose for him.”
