Scheana Shay Calls Engagement Ring Meaningful Amid Criticism

Scheana Shay is fighting back against the haters. Brock Davies purchased an engagement ring on the Tuesday, January 4, episode of Vanderpump Rules. Some fans noticed that he didn’t buy her a diamond engagement ring. Brock’s financial issues have already been a hot topic.

He tried to book a venue for their surprise wedding, but it fell through. So, he asked Lala Kent and Randall Emmett to help him out. Every time finances were brought up, Brock skirted around the issue. He previously revealed that he couldn’t spend money on both his business and wedding at the same time.

So, it could be why he couldn’t afford a diamond engagement ring. As for Scheana, she claims that her Morganite ring is meaningful and fits her style more.

One fan took to social media to note that Brock didn’t buy her a diamond engagement ring. Scheana fired back, tweeting, “It’s still 12.74 carats. Why does it matter what stone? 🤦🏻‍♀️” On Wednesday, January 5, the Bravo star explained to another fan that she “didn’t want a diamond” and that “Morganites are beautiful and have so much meaning.”

Scheana’s BFF Ariana Madix came to her rescue. She added, “People with diamond superiority complexes make me laugh.” During that episode, Brock wanted a surprise engagement and wedding all in one. He bought the $25,000 engagement ring from jeweler Kyle Chan.

Fans assumed that Tom Sandoval was going to put money down on the stone. After all, he helped pay for James Kennedy’s Coachella-themed engagement party. Sandoval went ring shopping with Brock. But the Aussie fitness trainer paid for the ring with multiple credit cards.

Viewers witness him planning a proposal and surprise wedding on the show. He asked Lala and Randall as well as Sandoval and Ariana. However, he ended up proposing to Scheana at their home in July 2021. The couple is holding out hope on a destination wedding in Bali.

Scheana continued to share her love for her engagement ring. On Wednesday, she also took to her Instagram Stories to share an original post from Kyle Chan. The jewelry designer gave fans a closer look at Scheana’s engagement ring. Yet, the reality star did that all on her own.

In the following Instagram Story, Scheana snapped a photo of her morganite ring, which she paired with her new colorful manicure. “Rainbow nails and a gorgeous Morganite stone,” Scheana Shay captioned the clip. “It’s SO me!!!”

She also addressed the concerns about the band. The Boy Crazy founder claimed that she wanted a “simple diamond band” that’s practical enough for everyday wear. But she still wanted something that showed her love for Brock. The added band also keeps the heavy engagement ring on since she has small hands.

“When we get married, I will add another band on top!” Scheana added.
