TBS ‘Go-Big Show’ Season 2 With T-Pain Added, Preview

T-Pain may have been crushed by fellow musicians blaming him in This Is Pop documentary for the autotune craze in music, but the rapper is prevailing. TBS has selected him for season two of the Bert Kreischer-hosted extreme reality series Go-Big Show.

Season one rapper Snoop Dogg is out (scheduling conflicts), and T-Pain is now in for season two of the extreme reality series hosted by comedian Bert Kreischer.

Despite lukewarm reviews and less than stellar ratings for season one, TBS is betting season two will bring the eyeballs to the viewing party.

In an interview with TheWrap ahead of the premiere, wrestler and reality star Cody Rhodes gave a shout-out for the lesser-known acts seeking an audience.

He said: “So many of these acts were niche markets, were carnival markets, were even more niche than niche,” he said. “They’re so unique that the pandemic had put a lot of these people on the unemployment line. So, to see them come together in this massive production in this massive quarantine bubble in Macon, an arena that I’ve wrestled in, as a social experiment was so beautiful.”

About the Go-Big Show

Go-Big Show showcases supersized talents on a scale never before seen on television.

From painful piercings to monster trucks, alligator trainers, stunt knives and arrows, and other radical daring-do feats, the program celebrates these caution-to-the-wind acts alongside personal, behind-the-scenes stories from the challengers as they battle head-to-head.

The goal is money, $100,000 of it as these brave souls seek to impress the judges and advance toward the finale’s prize.

The talented judges of Go-Big Show

To get the premise of the reality competition, you have to appreciate the off-kilter humor that host Bert Kreischer brings to the table. His act weaves personal anecdotes and observations with a typically shirtless delivery.

He hosts season 2 of the Go-Big Show with celebrity judges T-Pain, Rosario Dawson, Jennifer Nettles, and Cody Rhodes. Rhodes is on fire currently with his own TNT reality series, Rhodes to the Top, with his wife, Brandi. Both are professional wrestlers.

Rosario Dawson is also ablaze career-wise, starring in Ava DuVernay’s limited HBO Max four-part live-action miniseries, DMZ. Dawson’s cast as Alma and her costars are Benjamin Pratt and Freddy Miyares. Based on Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli’s Vertigo eponymous comic book series of the aftermath of an American civil war, Dawson’s character is a female medic searching for her lost son in the DMZ in the aftermath of a civil war while contending with militias and warlords as she saves lives along the way.

Country artist and Grammy winner Jennifer Nettles is smoking too. She appeared in HBO’s hit comedy The Righteous Gemstones from Danny McBride. Her previous albums include Playing With Fire and To Celebrate Christmas, and she recently appeared on Broadway.
