‘Love After Lockup’ Shocking Death Of Scott Davey, What Happened?
Love After Lockup fans were in for a huge shock at the end of a special New Years’ episode. It was revealed former cast member Scott Davey had sadly passed away. Some may remember him from his tumultuous romance with Lizzie Kommes. Others are just focused on answers and what caused Davey’s sad end.
Scott Finds His Love After Lockup
Viewers met Scott Davey in Season 1 of LAL. He had fallen in love with Lizzie Kommes who was serving time behind bars via a pen pal site for inmates. The two were very excited for her release but Kommes was questioned about her true intentions with Davey. She was known to use men for their money yet was adamant she had grown to love Scott in a way she had not felt for the others. Unfortunately, their real-life romance was put on hold when her release was postponed.
By Season 2, she had been released with everyone in both of their circles skeptical of Lizzie’s motives. Still, Scott proposed just a few days after Lizzie came home. Though she had maintained she was not using him for his money, this proved to be untrue. After he shared he was running out of money after excessively spending on her, she told him she did not need him anymore.
Scott moved on with another woman, Jasmine who Lizzie claimed he was cheating on her with. Sidenote- this led him to get slapped by Lizzie. More so, Jasmine brought a lot of toxicity to his life. She was accused of trying to extort money from the Love After Lockup star. Finally, this could have broken him but he went on to attempt a swimwear business. Scott stayed out of the limelight with the exception of a few candid interviews which may give some insight into where it all went wrong.
The Late Scott Davey
It is actually all very vague, the details of his passing. At the end of the special Love After Lockup episode, Scott’s face popped up on the screen. Alongside it read he passed away after the special was filmed. No other details were given but Starcasm was able to share the obituary. He was fifty-four and actually passed back in November. They billed him as “a generous whirlwind of ideas with no money in his pockets.”
No cause of death has been given. However, an interview from December 2019 revealed Scott had briefly slipped back into drugs. He claims it was because of Lizzie. Furthermore, he shared when Lizzie hit him, he had a beer and some Vicodin. Regardless, he appeared to have gone through a lot to make Lizzie happy as well as Jasmine. In the end, all he wanted was to be happy.

Poor Scott, Lizzy and her daughter used him till he had not a penny in his pocket! Scott thought that he hit the jackpot. As long as you didn’t look at Lizzy’s big horsey teeth!!
